Liu Yuan sat steadily in the driver's seat, holding the steering wheel tightly with both hands, and skillfully controlled the brand new and imposing Hongqi sedan. Sitting in the back seat was Mr. Zhou, who had become the number one person in China's discipline inspection and supervision department.

The wheels rolled forward and sped along the winding Tangqin Road.

The road starts from the west of Xiaotangshan Village and is like a nimble dragon shuttling through the mountains and fields.

The car drove past lush farmlands and scattered villages, and first passed Datangshan Village. The houses here are built on the mountain, simple and quiet.

Then, Houniufang Village appeared before our eyes, with smoke rising from the village and children laughing and playing in the streets.

As we continued walking, we gradually came into view of Dongzhuang Village, which was slightly larger in size, with shops lining both sides of the street and people busy coming and going.

Finally, the Hongqi sedan headed north towards Beijing's Beishan District.

When the car finally arrived at the foot of the mountain, a mysterious and majestic building stood not far ahead.

This building is the Qincheng Prison, which is called "China's No. 1 Prison" by those in the know. Although it is still hidden from the public's view, various legends about it have been circulating among the people.

The thick and tall walls of Qincheng Prison are like an indestructible fortress, standing proudly on the earth. The walls are not only extremely thick, but also towering into the sky, giving people an insurmountable sense of oppression.

On the top of the wall, there are rows of densely packed electric grids, like giant silver dragons circling and faintly flashing terrifying electric lights.

The vehicle driven by Liu Yuan quickly drove into the high-walled compound, and the first thing that came into view was the four neatly arranged buildings.

All of these buildings have a three-story structure with a simple and elegant design yet majestic and solemn.

Each building is a courtyard of its own, with a relatively independent space. In front of the courtyard is a wide open space, as large as a school playground.

There is plenty of sunshine and fresh air here, and it is the place where prisoners go out for exercise every day. Every morning and evening, prisoners come to this open space in twos and threes, strolling or exercising, enjoying the rare free time.

Each cell in this prison covers an area of about 20 square meters, which is surprisingly spacious. It is even larger than the ordinary rental houses commonly seen in Beijing today.

Walking into the cell, you can see all kinds of advanced equipment and electrical appliances. There is a brand new toilet in the corner for the prisoners' daily use; next to it is a fully functional washing machine so that they can wash their clothes. The existence of these facilities makes the originally monotonous and boring prison life more convenient.

The heavy cell door is made of hard iron sheets tightly wrapped around a thick wooden door, giving it an indestructible feeling.

There are also some carefully designed small holes on the door. These small holes are like a pair of vigilant eyes, allowing the sentinels standing outside the door to monitor every move inside the room at all times.

There is a medium-sized window near the ceiling, which is so high that even a tall prisoner would have difficulty reaching it even if he stepped on a stool.

However, through this window that is firmly protected by solid iron bars, the prisoners can still occasionally catch a glimpse of the white clouds floating leisurely in the sky and feel the tranquility and beauty from nature.

When they are lucky, they can see the scorching sun. The warm sunlight shines through the gaps in the iron fence and falls on the ground, forming patches of mottled light and shadows.

In order to prevent the prisoners from committing crimes, committing suicide or escaping from prison, all the angular objects in the cell have been carefully processed and polished to be smooth and round, so as not to become tools for them to hurt themselves or others. Not only that, any potentially dangerous objects are not to be found here.

The cell is about 3.5 meters high, giving people a sense of emptiness and depression. In the center of the ceiling, there is a 15-watt light bulb installed. The light bulb is covered with a frosted lampshade, which makes the light it emits soft and hazy; in addition, there is a fine wire mesh cover that tightly wraps it to further ensure safety.

Whenever night falls, the room will be shrouded in dim light, and the whole space is filled with a dim and mysterious atmosphere. However, the switch that controls this only light source is not inside the cell, but outside the door, firmly in the hands of the guards.

In the backyard area, there are 6 cells standing neatly. All of these cells are made of solid reinforced concrete, showing an indestructible quality. Their sizes vary, ranging from 5 square meters to 10 square meters.

Since its inception, Qincheng Prison has been directly under the administrative management of the 13th Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and has been subject to its strict supervision and guidance.
